I had gotten some feedback at my job that was basically a list of ADHD symptoms. This prompted me to tell them about my diagnosis and to take initiative in trying to improve the symptoms. I went to ADHD coaching, changed my psychiatrist to someone who could help me be more proactive about medication management as I went through this shift. But the reality is that my job has NO idea how to handle me. Their ultimate solution was to transfer me to a non-client-facing team... When I worked in the industry doing my former job for over 10 years! 10 years of experience went down the drain because they didn't know how to manage me or give me a workload that was a better fit. I had hardly any negative feedback before this experience (because it's impossible to NEVER get negative feedback). This article and your talk at SXSW are very needed in corporate America... Neurodivergent people are so misunderstood and underutilized!

exactly this!

and people absolutely have a mass misunderstanding!

This is why I did the Tedx talk. Have you seen it?

The intention is that it’s very shareable, to help explain yourself from an outside perspective to other people and to help them understand what would be helpful, to bring out all of the gifts…🫶🏻

The TED talk is great. It pretty much summarises my experience being the only neurotypical in the household. I’m still learning and NR and adjusting my thinking. It’s not easy but has to be done.

thank you so much for the kind words that means a lot and it’s exactly the right attitude: might not be easy but needs to be done to bring out the best in everyone and certainly not to do harm!!

Please: share the talk far and wide, like and definitely comment on the YouTube link to make the algorithm share it further, we’ve got to get the word out 🫶🏻💪🏻♥️
