3 ADHD Resources: Spanish Translation, Full-Year Calendar, and Plan Your Year Workshop

I’ve got a few fun updates to share this week!

Spanish Translation

First off—my book Extra Focus is now available in Spanish! The Spanish title is Extra Focus: Guía rápida para vivir una vida más feliz y centrada para adultos.

Buy it from Amazon.com or Amazon.es or wherever Spanish books are sold.

When Extra Focus: The Quick Start Guide to Adult ADHD first launched, I received a few emails from publishers that were potentially interested in translation rights to my book. I had no idea how to navigate that, and was kind of panicking about screwing up somehow or messing up a contract or something. 😅

I asked for help on social media, which led to a conversation with Jessica Killingley of the bks agency which led to them now representing me for managing these deals. As a self-published author, I’ve had to take on a lot of responsibilities (waaaay more than I thought going in) so it’s been a great relief having someone else manage that side of things.

This is the first of those translations to become available and it’s so cool to see it come to life for real!

I keep looking at my copy of this book and smiling. It’s still just kinda surreal that someone paid me for the right to translate my book. I’m super excited to be able to reach more people with ADHD (or TDAH as they say in Spanish) with the message that you aren’t broken, you aren’t alone, and there is hope. 💙

Plus a plethora of strategies for managing motivation, time, memory, and emotion.

I also have a couple of fun updates for paid members of Extra Focus:

  • Full-Year Horizon Calendar

  • Plan Your Extra Focus Year Workshop

Full-Year Horizon Calendar

I wanted a calendar I could hang on my wall that contained the full year, so I designed one and got it printed at the local Office Depot. It looks great! I love being able to see the whole year at a glance, especially as I continue to add new dates to it.

Full Year Horizon Calendar 2025

It’s arranged so the months all bleed together, and with a width of 14 days so that weekdays line-up down through the year.

I’ve only been using it for a week or so but I love it! I feel like it gives me a much better overall grasp of the year ahead of me.

I’ve made the template pdf available for paid members to download so they can get it printed as well. I love the daily ritual of crossing off each day with an “X” which helps me better visualize the year and the days that have passed.

Paid members can download it here:

Plan Your Extra Focus Year Workshop

If you’re a paid member, you already have access to the Plan Your Extra Focus Year workbook - this event will be a live walkthrough where we’ll fill out the planners together!

It’s kind of a Procrastinators Edition™ since we’re a few weeks into the new year, but it’s actually kind of a great time to plan out the rest of the year now that were through the holidays and having a better idea of what your routine currently looks like.

I know I’ve already changed my mind a few times about what I want this year to look like now that I’ve experienced a bit of what it currently looks like—it’s become real obvious which things I’d like to change. 🙂

The virtual event is next Thursday (Jan 30th) from 3:00-5:00pm PST.

(It will be recorded so if you can’t make it, you can follow along with the recording later)
